We are a growing CPA  firm located in the Hoover/Pelham area. We’re offering a pleasant, supportive & professional working environment for an experienced candidate, CPA preferred.  This is a Full Time position that can offer flexible hours and remote work to accommodate family or other needs. 

Our firm provides a complete package of services to the small business owners ranging from bookkeeping, accounting, financial statements, tax planning & preparation, payroll services and financial planning.  

*RESPONSIBILITIES:* 

As a Tax and Accounting Manager, your main responsibility will be to provide outstanding personal service to a section of our small business clientele.  We interact with our clients on a frequent basis and our systems keep workflow running smoothly throughout the year.  You will supervise and review compilations, prepare and review tax filings (S corp., LLC, 1040) and help our clients with ongoing tax planning.  As a primary contact person, you will provide exceptional personal service to clients in long-lasting working relationships.  We need your help to service a rapidly growing number of clients.  And, you will have a seat at our management table.  Your entrepreneurial drive to help us grow our business is just as important as your technical skills!    

*QUALIFICATIONS:* 

Minimum of 3 years experience in a CPA firm working with small business 

Honesty, excellent work ethic and people oriented and sunny personality 

Experience with compilation engagements 

Experience with tax return prep for S Corps, C Corps, LLCs and individuals 

General knowledge of payroll taxes and filings required 

Must be computer savvy and experienced with QuickBooks and MS Office 

Experience with (Ultra Tax, etc.) is a huge plus 

Desire to work with a team, be a leader, and grow your professional skills 

We offer base pay commensurate with experience plus incentive pay of $100k+/-, based on work completed.
